This fair is held in honor of the patron of the Villa de San Francisco de Campeche, which is celebrated by the people of Campeche every October 4, the day of San Francisco de Asís. The fair itself takes place from the 1st to the 15th of the same month, with religious, cultural and artistic events, in addition to the traditional mechanical games.
